GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - A man from Green Bay is convicted Thursday of killing his girlfriend.

32-year-old Richard Gardipee was found guilty in Brown County Circuit Court of first-degree intentional homicide and resisting or obstructing an officer.

Gardipee fatally stabbed 26-year-old Wendy Garcia at the couple's west side Green Bay home back in June.

According to the criminal complaint, Gardipee told police he stabbed Garcia with a kitchen knife, after a fight over Gardipee's use of pain killers.
