OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) - Oshkosh police say a man was shot at his apartment during an attempted robbery.
Authorities say two men stopped at the victim's apartment in the 400 block of Merritt Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Investigators say one of the suspects pulled a gun when the 26-year-old victim opened his door.
The victim told police he tried to take the gun away from the suspect, but instead got shot. He was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
After the shooting, the suspects ran away.
Police believe the victim was targeted and this is not a random act. They also don’t believe there is a threat to the public.
