APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) - A crash at Appleton's Houdini Plaza early Sunday leaves one man dead.
Police get a call for a reported disturbance in the area of College Avenue and Durkee Street around 1:30 a.m.
When officers arrived, they saw a vehicle leaving without its headlights on. Looking in the area for that vehicle, an officer saw the vehicle crash in the Houdini Plaza.
The driver of the vehicle, an Appleton man, was partially ejected from the vehicle. The driver and a passenger were taken to the hospital, where the driver was pronounced dead.
The passenger, who is a Waupaca man, is still in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The names of the driver and passenger have not been released yet.
