TOWN OF NASEWAUPEE, WI (WTAQ) - Door County Sheriff Terry Vogel confirmed media reports that the 21-year-old woman who was killed by her boyfriend over the weekend was 6 1/2 months pregnant.  35-year-old Brian Cooper from was arrested Sunday afternoon after calling authorities and confessed to killing his girlfriend, Alisha Bromfield. 

Vogel says Cooper is not the father. 

Bromfield was found in a room at the Sand Bay Beach Resort & Suites in the Town of Nasewaupee.

The couple was in town from Plainfield, IL for a wedding Saturday night.  Cooper was taken into custody without incident Sunday afternoon, and bond is expected to be set Tuesday afternoon.

Because Bromfield was pregnant, Cooper will likely be facing charges for both deaths. 

The Door County Sheriff's Department was recommending first degree intentional homicide charges.
