TOWN OF WINNECONNE, WI (WTAQ) - A 68-year-old man is dead following a small plane crash in the Town of Winneconne.

Officials say it happened near Ginnow Road and Oakhill Road Monday afternoon.

Authorities believe the small single-engine aircraft never left the ground when it crashed into a salvaged bus in a field.  Authorities identifed the pilot as Gerald D. Brow from Winneconne. 

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

The FAA and NTSB have been notified, but authorities have not determined if either will investigate the crash.
