The Green Bay Bullfrogs wrapped up the 2012 season Sunday afternoon at Joannes Stadium with a rousing 12-3 win over the LaCrosse Loggers. After giving up two runs in the top of the first, the Frogs erupted for 9 runs in the bottom of the opening inning. The rally was spiced by five hits and four walks. Harry Stanwyck settled down on the mound after the first and worked seven innings for the win. While it was a nice finish, it was a disappointing year for the Bullfrogs. After finishing second in the Northwoods League's South Division in the first half of the season with a 22-13 record, Green Bay struggled to a 12-23 second half record to finish 34-36 overall under fourth year manager Jordan Bischel. LaCrosse will meet Wisconsin in the South Division playoffs while Mankato will play Willmar for the North Division title as the Northwoods League playoffs open this week.
