UNDATED, WI (WTAQ) - A new poll indicates that Wisconsin’s U-S Senate primary race has become a three-way toss-up.
The firm of Public Policy Polling says hedge fund manager Eric Hovde leads the Republican contest with 28-percent. Former Governor Tommy Thompson and ex-Congressman Mark Neumann both have 25-percent support.
All three are in a statistical dead heat for the lead as the three-percent difference is within the poll’s four-point-nine percent margin of error.
The fourth Republican in the race, Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald, trails with 13-percent.
Nine-percent remain undecided with the primary just 13 days away.
Public Policy Polling surveyed 400 likely Republican primary voters over the past two days. Neumann has gained 10 points since the firm’s last poll on the Wisconsin Senate race in early July.
Thompson’s and Hovde’s support have both dropped slightly. Check out the debate on WTAQ.
