Helen Collins to be honored at Monday night's Milwaukee Bucks game

MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - An 80-year-old woman might get the loudest applause at Monday night’s Milwaukee Bucks’ basketball game.

Helen Collins will receive the Kapco Homecourt Hero Award.

She’s the Door County woman whose husband died while they were in mid-air last month – and she was amazingly calm when she followed instructions from aviation officials in landing the craft at the Sturgeon Bay Cherryland Airport.

Actually, Collins won’t be at Monday night’s game. Her award will be accepted by 3 people who helped bring the craft to a safe landing – airport manager Keith Kasbohn, and Robert and Cathy Vuksanovic.

The Bucks will host Toronto Monday night at 7 p.m. The award will be presented during the first timeout of the 2nd quarter.
