The once-divorced star, who is currently dating basketball player Dwayne Wade, insists wedding-giddy girls should spend less time fretting about dresses and seating arrangements at the reception and more time making sure their partner has the right goals.
She tells news show Access Hollywood Live, ""We're kind of taught to go along to get along, don't cause any ruffles, but that got me divorced.
""We spend more time thinking about centrepieces and the dress and who's gonna be in your bridal party. At some point you should say, 'Have you ever balanced a chequebook? Do you want to work? Do you plan on dating outside of this relationship?' Things like that should be brought up.""
