DE PERE, WI (WTAQ) - Former De Pere High School track coach Dan Baker died Saturday after a long battle with cancer.

Baker was 57.

In 2009, Baker was diagnosed with prostate cancer, which later spread to other parts of his body.

Baker began teaching and coaching at De Pere High School in 1980. He retired last year.  Last month, the high school renamed the track in his honor.

Baker attended the ceremony with family, friends and hundreds of supporters. He leaves behind a wife and two children.
