MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ) - A Milwaukee man was charged Thursday with first-degree intentional homicide in the death of his 11-month-old daughter.

An autopsy showed that young Millie Smith died last Sunday from multiple blunt force injuries – including broken ribs and hemorrhaging.

The father, 29-year-old Littleton Jackson, told officers he drank too much beer – he got mad when she started crying – and he slapped the girl across the face a couple times. But officers the baby’s mother came home to find that the child was bit and heavily bruised throughout her body.

She died later at Milwaukee Children’s Hospital.

Prosecutors said Jackson was abusive to Millie since she was six months old – and he also abused the girl’s mother in the past, but she failed to cooperate with prosecutors in those instances.
