The Slumdog Millionaire director launched a casting call last month (Aug11) for 10,000 people to fill roles as dancers, actors and percussionists in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the upcoming Games.

But Boyle is still in need of a few good men - because the majority of applicants have been women.

He says, ""The majority of applications so far are from women and I want to see an equal amount of men. So boys don't be shy!
