OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) - A not guilty plea is entered by the Omro man charged with beating his dog to death with a baseball bat. 

Prosecutors say 18-year-old James Albright III took his puppy to a field in Oshkosh and killed it after cops told him and his roommate the conditions in their home were too poor to keep animals. 

Albright faces up to 3-and-a-half years in prison if convicted
