MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - In just 12 days, the Recall Gov. Scott Walker group says it has collected more than 300,000 signatures, nearly half way to its goal. "People are seeing through Walker's deceptions and are moving to take our state back.” said United Wisconsin Executive Director Meagan Mahaffey on the rapid progress. The recall effort against Walker and Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch began November 15th. The group has until January 17th to turn in more than 540,000 valid signatures. The group has a goal of over 700,000 in order to withstand challenges to signatures likely to come from the Republican Party of Wisconsin.
