WAUPUN, Wis. (WTAQ) - A third-grader in Waupun has been suspended for taking a fake bomb to school.
The 8-year-old boy was taken out of the Rock River Intermediate School for three days, and juvenile authorities are investigating.
Police said the youngster told classmates he brought a bomb to school to get back at what he called “mean teachers.”
An investigator said the boy claimed it was a nuclear bomb – and he wanted to use it to activate the fire alarms. But it turned out to be harmless – just an eyeglass case with two batteries, six nails, a screw with a piece of thread, and a light bulb from a flashlight.
