Boston, Mass (WSAU)The Milwaukee Bucks set a team-record low in scoring last night in an 87-to-56 loss at Boston. The 56 points were two fewer than the Bucks’ previous record-low of 58 against Seattle on February 21st of 2003, the day after the Bucks traded Ray Allen to the Super-Sonics. Allen didn’t play in that game, but he did last night for Boston – and he led the Celtics with 17 points. Milwaukee scored just nine points in the first quarter and 22 by halftime. The Bucks made 22-of-70 shots from the floor for 31-percent. And they had just one player in double-figures – Earl Barron who didn’t play until the fourth quarter and scored 10. The Celtics pulled even with Chicago for the best record in the N-B-A’s Eastern Conference. The Bucks ended a three-game winning streak. And they fell to one-and-a-half games behind both Charlotte and Indiana for the eighth-and-final playoff spot in the East. Both the Bobcats and Pacers won road games yesterday. The Bucks will play at Atlanta tomorrow night.
