Phoenix, AZ. (WHBL-Learfield) - Casey McGehee homered twice and had an R-B-I single as the Milwaukee Brewers crushed the Chicago Cubs 12-to-5 in an exhibition game in Phoenix. McGehee drove in a total of four runs, just hours after signing a one-year contract. He was the last Brewer to sign for 2011, after negotiations failed on a longer-term deal. Cubs’ starter Carlos Silva had an argument with his teammate Aramis Ramirez after the Cubs gave up six runs in the first inning, and three of them were unearned due to errors. Ramirez committed one of the miscues at third base, and he didn’t like how Silva reacted. No punches were thrown, and a coach escorted Silva to the clubhouse. The Brewers are now 3-and-1 in Cactus League play. They’ll take on the Oakland A’s this afternoon.
