The Green Bay Bullfrogs launch their fifth season of Northwoods League baseball with opening night tonight at 6:35 PM as they take on the LaCrosse Loggers at Joannes Stadium. Manager Jordan Bischel returns for his second full season at the helm. He took over midway through the 2009 campaign and led the Bullfrogs to a 39-31 record last year, keeping the team in playoff contention to the final week of the regular season. Bischel, a Green Bay native, will have three returning members of the team including former De Pere Redbird Joe Betcher on the infield. The roster is made up of college age players from across the country. Bischel says some of his top players are stilll taking part in collegiate tournaments and he'll open the season with several short term contracted players hoping to find a full time roster spot over the first two weeks of the campaign. All 60 regular season games will be played against the eight South Division opponents in the 16 team Northwoods League.
