MADISON, Wis. (WTAQ) - Researchers in Madison will try to find out why over 3,000 blackbirds died in Arkansas.
Folks in Beebe Arkansas spent the New Year’s weekend cleaning up, after the red-winged birds fell out of the sky and collapsed. Officials are still not sure why it happened.
Leann White of the National Wildlife Health Center in Madison says her team of specialists will study the necropsies and look for any evidence of trauma.
The center has studied large bird-kills in the past – and it has worked before with officials in Arkansas.
