GILLETT, Wis. (WTAQ) - The Gillett School District is on high alert Friday morning, but classes will go on.
Gillett's school superintendent says the high alert is due to an unspecified general threat to the safety of students.
The superintendent says parents can keep children at home if they want and those absences will be excused. School officials don't want parents to call the school.
An investigation is ongoing.
