MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WSAU) – A Milwaukee police officer suffered life-threatening injuries when he was hit while standing near his squad car Sunday afternoon.

A vehicle traveling on the wrong side of the road hit and jumped the curb, hitting the officer as he was trying to get out of the way. The officer was listed in critical condition last night.

Milwaukee police say they are looking for a dark-colored mid-sized sedan which is missing its passenger door side mirror, possibly with damage to its front.
