GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - A Green Bay woman is upset, because a hospital won’t tell her everything about a mix-up this summer in which she nursed the wrong baby for three hours.
Amy Amschler says she wants the contact the other mother – but St. Mary’s Medical Center won’t tell her who she is.
The hospital says it cannot comment or release patient information because of federal privacy laws.
Amschler told WGBA-TV in Green Bay that 3 officials from the hospital came to her room when she was there, and explained the mix-up. They said Amschler’s son was put in the wrong crib – so the next time she nursed the child, she got the right crib with a different baby.
The report said a DNA test showed that the baby Amschler has now is the correct one.
