GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - The Green Bay City Council is deciding whether to allow lawn parking around Lambeau Field for events other than football games. The idea popped up when a summer concert for Kenny Chesney drew more than 40,000 people. Some people living near the stadium say homeowners would welcome lawn parking being okayed for other activities. Some charge football fans up to 25 dollars a car for the convenience of parking near the Packers home. A city ordinance currently in place allows cars to be parked on those lawns during Packers home games and the new proposal would extended that practice.
