PLAINWELL, MI (WHTC) - An 84-year-old Kalamazoo woman died last night in a fiery two-vehicle crash along southbound US-131 north of Plainwell. According to authorities, Barbara Foster's automobile had smashed into a disabled van that had spun out, careening into a fence for a nearby business, and catching fire. She was pronounced dead at Borgess/Pipp Hospital. The driver, 45-year-old Sue Ann Kroft of Kalamazoo, and a passenger in the van, an unnamed 14-year-old son of her boyfriend, were taken to Borgess’ main campus in Kalamazoo, where they are expected to recover from their injuries. An investigation continues.
