TOMAHAWK, Wis (WSAU) Although control of the state senate is no longer in doubt, there are still two recall elections on Tuesday. One of the contests is in the Northwoods. Democrat senator Jim Holperin is facing a recall challenge from Kim Simac.

Campaign workers have flooded the 12th Senate District with a massive get-out-the-vote effort. Radio and TV airwaves have been flooded with political commercials.

The other recall race tomorrow pits Democrat Bob Wirch of Pleasant Prairie against Republican attorney Jonathan Steitz.

Last week two GOP senators were recalled; the GOP defended four other seats and will have at least a one-vote majority in the state senate.
