ST. PAUL, Minn. (WTAQ) - Neighboring Minnesota has two confirmed human cases of West Nile Virus. And Wisconsin had not recorded any cases this year as of August 11th.

Minnesota health officials said a person in the St. Paul area and a man in Yellow Medicine County came down with West Nile – which is spread by mosquitoes.

The Wisconsin Health Services Web site did not list any cases affecting humans, birds, or horses as of 3 weeks ago. Minnesota’s Dave Neitzel says much of the high-risk season for West Nile is behind us – but there’s still a continued risk in September.
