SHAWANO COUNTY, Wis. (WTAQ) - A former Shawano County man has been arrested for possessing child pornography, according to the Sheriff's Department.

The investigation began back in June, while the 25-year-old Hatley man was a resident of Shawano County.

Detectives used special software in locating the child porn on computers at the man's house. A further search of computers and external storage devices yielded additional evidence resulting in the arrest.

Sheriff's officials are alleging over 30 specific violations and it's being forwarded to the district attorney's office for charges.
