OSHKOSH, Wis. (WTAQ) - An Oshkosh woman convicted of murdering another woman for drugs has learned her fate.
19-year-old Samantha Rew was sentenced to 25 years in prison Wednesday. Rew will be eligible for parole after 15 years.
Prosecutors say Rew and her fiance Donald Martin killed Emily Wayman inside her Oshkosh home last April. Authorities say Martin hit Wayman in the head with a hammer, while Rew searched the apartment for Oxycontin.
A videotape confession was played during the sentencing hearing where the entire crime was laid out.
Martin's trial is scheduled to begin April 12.
