LA CROSSE, Wis. (WTAQ) - One man was killed overnight in a house fire in La Crosse. Authorities were called just before midnight to a 2-story dwelling. The fire was mainly confined to the basement. Early reports said the victim was in his mid-30’s. The cause remains under investigation. The La Crosse Tribune said the state Justice Department was called after it was believed there was a methamphetamine lab inside the house – but that turned out there was not a meth lab.
