DANE COUNTY, Wis. (WTAQ) - Dane County authorities say speed and alcohol were apparent factors in a car crash that killed a Stoughton man. The victim was identified Sunday as 21-year-old Brandon Cooper. Sheriff’s deputies said his car apparently failed to stop at a stop sign, and it hit a tree. It happened early Saturday on Highway 51 between Stoughton and McFarland.
