GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) - A Green Bay company has achieved their goal of becoming a near "zero landfill" facility.
Nice-Pak Products is taking what normally would go to a landfill to Greenwood Fuels so it can be turned into bio-mass fuel pellets. That in turn becomes used in industrial boilers.
Senior Director of Operations Brad Zenko says the transition didn't take long and thinks it's makes both business and economic sense.
Green Bay is the first of Nice Pak's 4 plants to go zero landfill, with hopes of another one in the next 3 years.
