MADISON, Wis. (WTAQ) - The walleye population in eastern Wisconsin will be the subject of 4 public meetings this summer.

The state DNR is updating its management plan for walleye in the Lake Winnebago system. That includes the lakes of Winnebago, Butte des Morts, Poygan, and Winneconne – as well as the Fox and Wolf rivers.

The walleye’s migrational patterns and harvest estimates will be among the topics discussed at the public meetings.

The first one is set for next Tuesday in Shiocton. Others will take place August 10th in Menasha, August 11th in Quinney, and August 12th in Fond du Lac.
