Detroit has 59 points along with Calgary, which would edge out the Red Wings for the eighth and final post season slot if the playoffs started today because the Flames own the tie-breaker.

Also it’s Michigan vs. Michigan State tonight in East Lansing before the Wolverines and Spartans battle tomorrow night at Joe Louis Arena.
