MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - A woman was killed Monday morning in a Milwaukee house fire. It happened about 9:50 a.m. in a neighborhood on the northwest side. Two neighbors told the Journal Sentinel they tried to get into the 2 story house to save the woman – but they were held back by the intense heat from the blaze. The neighbors said the woman had lived in the building for at least 50 years. The cause remains under investigation.
