MADISON, Wis. (WTAQ) - The state Senate Labor Committee has called off a public hearing scheduled for Tuesday. The hearing was about a bill to expand pension benefits for emergency responders. The bill would assume that responders are qualified if they get serious contagious diseases like hepatitis and AIDS during the time they serve. Officials said the hearing was delayed because of the snowy weather. It has not been re-scheduled yet.
