Phoenix Fall Again and Fall To Second
The road difficulties continued for the 23rd ranked Green Bay Phoenix Women last night as they fell to the Detroit Titans at Callihan Hall 71-55. The loss knocked the Phoenix into second place in the Horizon League, one game behind Detroit, coached by former GB assistant Autumn Rademacher. Green Bay led by five at the half and were up 47-40 in the second half before the Titans went on a 15-0 run and never looked back. Kayla Tetschlag scored 18 points for the Phoenix but nobody else hit double figures and the team shot just 25 percent from the floor in the second half. Guard Brigid Mulroy led Detroit (10-11, 8-2) with 20. The Phoenix (18-3, 7-3) have dropped three straight Horizon League games on the road and they'll take on Wright State in Dayton Saturday.
