APPLETON, Wis. (WTAQ) - Wisconsin’s tightest U.S. House race is no match when it comes to money. Democratic incumbent Steve Kagen of Appleton has almost 5 times as much in his campaign account as his nearest challenger. Kagen had $550,000 in his war chest as of December 31st as he goes for his third term. And former roofing contractor Reid Ribble of Kaukauna had the most among Republicans with $115,000. That was about as much as 4 other GOP candidates combined. Ribble and Assembly Republican Roger Roth of Appleton both raised about $50,000 in the final quarter of last year, and Mark Trager of Howard raised almost that much.
