MARINETTE COUNTY, Wis. (WTAQ) - A weekend fire destroyed a rafting resort in northeast Wisconsin. Authorities are still trying to determine what started Saturday’s blaze at Thornton’s Rafting Resort on the Peshtigo River northeast of Crivitz. Stephenson fire chief Jim Stradal there are no signs of foul play, and the building is a total loss. A passer-by saw smoke and flames, and called 911. Nobody was inside the resort at the time, and no injuries were reported.
