RUSK COUNTY, Wis. (WTAQ) - Wisconsin’s death toll from the weekend snowstorm has risen to 6.
Rusk County authorities are expected to say more today about an elderly man who was found dead on his tractor, close to a rural intersection at Highway 8 near Weyerhaeuser. No other details were released Monday.
Also, 19-year-old Shenea Mueller of Eau Claire died in a two-vehicle crash near Thorp in Clark County. Authorities said she was a passenger in a car that went through a stop sign on County Trunk X on Sunday, and collided with a pickup truck.
The other 4 deaths were reported earlier. 37-year-old James Scheel of Marshfield died from hypothermia after walking in the cold to get help for his stranded vehicle.
58-year-old Kenneth Swanson was pinned under 3 feet of snow when his metal shed collapsed near River Falls. 79-year-old Clifford Larson of Woodville died after he was hit by a plow while removing snow at the end of his driveway.
And 21-year-old Alejandria Abaunza of Chicago died when an SUV in which she was a passenger crashed on the Interstate near Janesville.
