APPLETON, Wis. (WTAQ) - A man from Appleton is sentenced to 12 years in prison Friday after pleading no contest to sexual assault of a child.
48-year-old James Landa will also spend 18 years extended supervision following his release.
Landa and his wife were charged March 19 after a 12-year-old girl reported the sexual assaults. The victim is also a relative of the couple.
In Outagamie County court, the judge asked James Landa if he was a pedophile, to which he replied yes. Landa's wife Carlene has her trial set to begin September 14.
