(Hattiesburg, MS) -- Brett Favre is not ruling out returning to the Vikings for a second season. The 40-year-old quarterback spoke briefly to reporters Wednesday from his truck after a throwing session at a Mississippi high school. Favre had ankle surgery during the offseason and is still sore. It was widely reported Tuesday that Favre was planning to retire from the NFL for a third time. Meantime, Favre's agent Bus Cook told NFL Network's Steve Mariucci that his client has an appointment with Dr. James Andrews next week. Dr. Andrews operated on Favre's injured ankle this offseason. Favre suffered the injury in the NFC title game in January. Cook said they'd know more about the situation after the meeting with Andrews.
