Fielder Goes Deep But Brewers Lose Again

by

DENVER (WSAU) Prince Fielder hit home run number 44 last night at Coors Field but the Colorado Rockies roughed up Jeff Suppan and won 10-6. Todd Helton, Carlos Gonzalez and Troy Tulowitski each hit two run homers to help Jason Hammel win his 10th game and give the Rockies a 4 game lead with 4 to play in the NL wildcard chase. The Rockies also pulled within two--and-a-half games of LA in the NL West. They play the Dodgers this weekend.

Suppan gave up 8 runs on 10 hits in 6 innings of work. Along with Fielder, Mike Cameron and Casey McGehee hit homers for Milwaukee . Jason Kendall had 3 hits and 2 RBI as well. The two teams finish their series this afternoon.
