DENVER (WSAU) Prince Fielder hit home run number 44 last night at Coors Field but the Colorado Rockies roughed up Jeff Suppan and won 10-6. Todd Helton, Carlos Gonzalez and Troy Tulowitski each hit two run homers to help Jason Hammel win his 10th game and give the Rockies a 4 game lead with 4 to play in the NL wildcard chase. The Rockies also pulled within two--and-a-half games of LA in the NL West. They play the Dodgers this weekend.
Suppan gave up 8 runs on 10 hits in 6 innings of work. Along with Fielder, Mike Cameron and Casey McGehee hit homers for Milwaukee . Jason Kendall had 3 hits and 2 RBI as well. The two teams finish their series this afternoon.
