CALEDONIA (WRN) - Authorities in Racine County are trying to determine what started a fire that killed a 60-year-old woman. Marie Erato died Sunday at her home in Caledonia. Fire officials said the house was engulfed in flames when they arrived, and the blaze apparently started in the living room. The home did not have a working smoke detector – and officials said Erato’s life might have been saved if she had one. Erato is a retired parole officer.
