MADISON (WRN) - The state Veterans’ Affairs Board has canceled a 2 day meeting – its first since the board fired agency secretary John Scocos late last month. The board was planning to meet Thursday and Friday at the state veterans’ nursing home in Union Grove. But it was scrapped due to the weather. The board was planning to set a salary for its new secretary, Ken Black. The agenda also included new rules for veterans’ tuition benefits. That business and more have been pushed back to January.
