PRAIRIE DU SAC (WRN) - A 16-year-old driver was killed Wednesday evening, when a pickup truck slammed into a utility pole just east of Prairie du Sac in Dane County. It happened about 6 p.m. on Highway 188. Sheriff’s deputies said the driver lost control on a curve, and the pickup hit a pole to the left. Investigators said excessive speed might have been a factor. The victim’s name and gender were not immediately released.
