GREEN LAKE COUNTY, Wis. (Midwest Communications) - The DNR is investigating a large fish kill on a central Wisconsin lake.

As many as 1,000 fish have been found dead on Lake Puckaway in southwestern Green Lake County. An unidentified man says the shoreline is filled with dead fish.

Regional Fisheries Supervisor George Boronow says a private individual had a contract to remove carp from the lake and they believe this person is to blame. He says it's too early to determine if citations will be issued for last week's fish kill.
