This was another case where union leadership was willing to see jobs move to other states rather than make concessions. This time, albeit by a slim vote, sanity among union membership prevailed and the Boeing 777X will be built in the Seattle area. It's stunning to me how those in the union disappointed by this vote don't realize that good paying jobs with fewer pension benefits are better than no jobs at all. Fortunately, a slim majority of their membership did.
