I realize that the data concerning danger from RF devices is highly debatable. And I suppose you can argue that the utility can decide what type of meter it's going to use to allow you to get service. But then shouldn't they explain why they can't allow people to opt out? I don't know about you, but if I was going to deal with the optics of cutting water service to an 81 year old great-grandmother, I'd want a pretty good reason that I could share with the public.
And while the health issues are debatable, the dangers of invasion of privacy are quite tangible. This story could become an interesting moment in this debate.
