The Catholic Church has been trying for decades to put this scandal behind it. I don't think that's ever going to happen; the Church, in my opinion, still hasn't come to grips with how big the scandal really was. That's how big it was in scope, cover up, length of time it happened and how church leaders kept exposing fresh victims to known offenders.
It's a fair question to ask whether the Milwaukee Archdiocese can even survive this scandal. And no building in the Milwaukee Archdiocese should be named after any bishop tainted by this scandal. The Archdiocese knew what this release would be like. But it's unlikely they could really prepare for it.
