Growing up in the 80s-- this TV show was a must watch Friday nights. Yeah, The Dukes of Hazzard was on CBS Friday nights--but it was on before bed time, which I normally was able to coax my way out of. For years I watched 'DALLAS' with my family. Sometimes my folks would look up and see me lying on my stomach on the floor of our living room, staring at the Sears TV set and order me to bed--but many times the twisted story lines captivated my mom and dad. And, you know when you're parents are buzzing--you're going to get caught in the tangled webs too, even if you didn't really understand what was going on.
So there my wife and I were--watching the reincarnation of 'DALLAS' on TNT. But for Julie, her parents were more steadfast in their bed time rules--and she never watched the drama with J-R, Bobby, Sue-Ellen and Pam. Instead, she was fast asleep!
So many unanswered questions--so much intrigue! Well, you knew after her mom and I started chirping away on 'Who Shot JR?' and 'Whatever happened to...' etc... while watching the new episodes, Julie would get the bug too.
Since then, 2011 or so? We've watched nearly ALL of the seasons-- including the very awesome if you ask me--but to most everyone else, most dreadful ... DREAM season! Mark it in your calendars, the NEW season of 'DALLAS' begins 2/24... http://www.dallastnt.com/
